New Horizon Cayman offers advanced electrotherapy for patients with chronic pain. We're hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician.

 

A minimum of a High School Diploma, with high level passes in Math and English, is required.

An Associate’s degree, with a science/healthcare concentration and/or one of the following certifications, is preferred: Medical Assistant, PT/OT Assistant, Nursing Assistant.

 

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a patient care role (such as a physiotherapy or occupational therapy assistant) is ideal. Some administrative experience in a healthcare setting is also advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

• Answering patient and referring physicians' queries – effectively communicating relevant information in a timely manner.

• Creating and accurately maintaining patient charts.

• Scheduling patient appointments, including treatments and consults, and obtaining all necessary paperwork.

• Sending important information and reminders to patient, throughout the patient journey.

• Preparing the treatment room, checking-in patients, and preparing patients for treatment.

• Facilitating Advanced Electrotherapy Treatments (AET), as per physician’s treatment plan and equipment protocols.

• Thoroughly cleaning the treatment room after each visit and at the end of day.

• Maintaining inventory and accurately preparing orders for supplies in a timely manner.

• Preparing and submitting insurance pre-certifications and claims and processing patient payments.

• Identifying and facilitating business development opportunities to educate potential patients and local referrers.

 

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be confident, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Must be organized with great attention to detail and committed to patient confidentiality. Experience in a healthcare setting and an understanding of medical terminology is beneficial. As a healthcare facility, we require the Patient Care Technician to be fully vaccinated and willing to stay up-to-date with COVID-19 boosters, as per Public Health’s guidance.

 

Salary range: USD$3,700 – $4,700 per month; benefits as per the Labour Law. Caymanians, Status-holders, and Permanent Residents preferred.
